Club Officers and Committee Chairmen.
T he Peoria-Area Amateur Radio Club is a democratically elected organization. Elections are held each November to choose our leaders for the following year. The immediate past President of the club is responsible for contacting prospective officers about becoming officers. In addition he will present to the general membership a slate for election at the regular November club meeting. For last minute additions, nominations are taken from the floor to ensure that no person has been overlooked.Club Officers must be members in good standing of the club for two years prior to their election. No President may serve more than two consecutive terms in office, and the Trustee of the club, once elected, serves at the pleasure of the club. In addition, the treasurer serves under the same term of office as the trustee to provide a continuity in the financial responsibilities of the club. Each director serves for a two year term, with each position being up for election every other year. All other officers except the treasurer and trustee serve for one-year terms which run concurrently with the calendar year. Committee chairmen are appointed by the President, and ratified by the Board of Directors. Committee chairmen serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors and the General Membership. Committee Chairmen are replaced if they no longer wish to serve in their capacities, or are asked to resign by the Board of Directors. The e-mail address and homepage of each officer and committee chairman (if they have one) is listed below. To access the homepage of officers, their name is the link, while their e-mail is given after their name and callsign. If you have interest in more information that what is contained in our pages here, please feel free to access their pages or to e-mail them for more information.
