New Ham Class

2008 Ham radio License prep class will be held Thursdays from January 31 - April 14 7:00-9:00 pm at the Illinois Central College East Peoria Campus. If you are interested in taking a class to join the many amateurs in the Peoria area, please contact the club at w9uvi@arrl.org.

The class will cover basic radio theory required to pass the entry level Technician Exam. This will include information on radio frequencies, antennas, operating practice, electronics, and regulations. Basic math skills and a desire to learn are all that is required. Morse Code will also be covered in the class, but is not required for entry level license.

Cost for the class is $20 and will cover the cost of the study book. An exam session will be held at the completion of the class. Additional Exam fees will be required.
